BBQ Recipe: Honey & Mustard Glazed Salmon

Enjoying the outdoors and cooking over a barbecue is one of life’s great pleasures. Today, we bring you a delicious, healthy and easy to make recipe: honey and mustard glazed salmon. The perfect balance of sweet, savoury and smoky that will impress everyone.


Ingredients:

  • 4 skinless salmon fillets

  • 3 tablespoons of honey

  • 2 tablespoons of Dijon mustard (or your preferred variety)

  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce (optional, for a saltier touch)

  • 1 clove of garlic, grated

  • Juice of half a lemon

  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

  • Olive oil


Method:

  1. Prepare the glaze: In a bowl, mix the honey, mustard, soy sauce, grated garlic and lemon juice. Stir well until smooth.

  2. Marinate the salmon: Place the fillets in a dish and generously coat with the glaze. Leave to marinate for 15–30 minutes (longer if possible).

  3. Preheat the BBQ: Light your barbecue and prepare it for direct cooking at a medium-high temperature. You can use a griddle or place the salmon directly on a pre-oiled grill.

  4. Cook the salmon: Grill the fillets for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, brushing with more glaze as they cook. The centre should remain juicy but firm.

  5. Serve and enjoy: Pair with grilled vegetables, rice or a fresh salad. A sprinkle of chopped chives adds extra flavour and colour.
