Honey Chilli Peanuts

These Honey Chilli Peanuts are perfect party nibbles and are totally addictive. Using this easy recipe, it makes a delicious gift for family and friends or a great snack alongside a chilled beverage… cheers!


METHOD

  1. Add the honey to a microwave-proof bowl and heat in microwave for 30-40 seconds until it starts to bubble (or add to pan and heat on hob).

  2. Add the salted peanuts, honey chilli rub and 25g of the sugar to the bowl. Mix well to ensure an even coating. 

  3. Pour the coated peanuts onto a lined baking tray and ensure the nuts spread evenly in one layer. Roast in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 150°C.

  4. This recipe has plenty of sugars so be careful not to burn your nuts, they can go from golden caramel brown to burnt in a matter of seconds.

  5. Once the nuts have turned golden brown, remove and allow to cool for 3 minutes.

  6. Place in a large bowl, adding the remaining 75g of sugar and mix.

  7. Spread out on a lined baking sheet and allow to cool further, then break up any nuts that have stuck together.

  8. Taste and feel free to add more spice to your own taste.

  9. Once fully cooled store in an air tight container.

  • For extra kick, add 2 tsp of Angus & Oink Hot n Hostile 

  • 100g granulated sugar
